Yesteryears Okinawa

Conceived of in the mid 2260's the Okinawa was designed to serve two purposes, firstly to replace the old Davids class (which the Okinawa was based off) due to the Davids class being old and obsolete even by 2260 standards and more importantly she was intended to serve as a proof of concept, utilizing new technology currently in development. The USS Okinawa herself came off the assembly lines and participated in a 1 year shakedown cruise in 2267, after which the class was green-lit for mass production.

Well here she is, I don't know about everyone else but I have fond memories flying one of these in Starfleet Command 1. I took the opportunity to do some changes to this class, included is a shuttlebay (I know the ship is small but it still could use one), impulse engines and visible torpedo launchers. In Yesteryears she is the weakest of the combat units (scout not included) and is the only combat ship that doesn't require any research.
